'DISCO BLOODBATH -

The Fabulous but True Tale of Murder in Clubland'

Andy Warhol is dead, his Superstars are dead, The New York Downtown scene is dead. It's time for the Club Kids to breathe some life back into 80s... even if that means that one more person has to die

'Disco Bloodbath', a multimedial dance theatre piece based on the true tale of Michael Alig, the infamous 1980s New York King of The Club Kids, and the price of MONEY, SUCCESS, FAME and GLAMOUR.

Script written by Liam Gordon and adapted from the 1999 James St James novel ‘Disco Bloodbath’, the 1998 Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato documentary ‘Party Monster – The Shockumentary’ and the 2003 film ‘Party Monster’.

All based on true events. This process was the beginning of Limits Theatre Collective, bringing the minds of 17 undergraduate artists from different artistic practices in the collaboration of the piece.

Winner of BEST NEW INTERDISCIPLINARY WORK 2012 from Great British Art
